Dogs love to show their affection with one another by showering each other with furry hugs and kisses. They were absolutely inseparable. Pups in love are so adorable that they deserve to celebrate their relationship and show it to the world.
Golden Retrievers named Peaches and Duke work at the Methodist Mansfield Medical Center’s Physical Medicine department. Certified as therapy dogs, they assist the hospital in bringing comfort to patients going through rehabilitation.
The hospital staff noticed how these two pups are always together and how they would spend hours snuggling against each other and giving each other sweet kisses. Peaches and Duke also loved sharing a puppuccino at the Starbucks store in the hospital.
The couple could not keep their paws off each other whenever they are not working. The hospital knew right then and there that these two’s love is more than just puppy love, and they wanted to celebrate that together with everyone.
Gayle Lindsay, a physical therapist at the hospital, says that Peaches and Duke bring in so much relief not only to healing patients but also to the whole staff. They enjoyed seeing the pair come in together and insisted that they make it official by tying the knot.
So the staff went ahead and planned Peaches and Duke’s wedding. Like any other marriage ceremony, the bride wore a white dress and a garter on one of her paws, while Duke also wore a dapper tuxedo for their special day. The wedding was officiated by the hospital’s very own pastor.
The hospital staff and some patients were there to witness the beautiful event. After saying their “I Do’s,” Peaches and Duke happily ate their delicious wedding cake while everyone took several photos of the cute furry couple.
Peaches and Duke didn’t have the chance to enjoy a honeymoon because of their work schedules, but they happily went back to work together. They didn’t seem to mind as long as they are with each other, bringing joy to everyone at the hospital.
