Every year, countless families experience losing their beloved pet dogs because of a door that was accidentally left open or the dog became extra creative and figured out a way to escape from the backyard. Just thinking about your beloved pet dog wandering the city streets alone can definitely make anyone anxious. To prevent this from really happening, many people are now putting GPS trackers on their pets’ collar and even getting their dogs microchipped.
A family in Milwaukee had this experience with their two dogs. One night, the two dogs decided to be a little adventurous and have managed to escape their family’s yard. When the family found out that their dogs were nowhere to be found, they immediately started searching the entire neighborhood.
During that same night, a bus driver named Jamie Grabowski was just about to finish work and was headed back to the garage. However, Jamie noticed two dogs wandering the streets and she noticed that the dogs had no one accompanying them. Jamie wasn’t only worried because it’s winter and it was freezing, Jamie was also concerned that the dogs might get hit by traffic.
Jamie decided to stop her bus to help the two dogs. Thankfully, Jamie was able to convince the two dogs to hop on to her bus. Jamie thought that the dogs were safer inside the bus than having them running around in the city streets.
Soon after Jamie got the two dogs on the bus, she called the authorities and a police officer came to help. The dogs were eventually taken to animal control where they were reunited with their worried owners. The family had also been out all night trying to look for their dogs. They’re grateful for what Jamie did and they’re also relieved that the beloved dogs were unharmed.
Jamie didn’t have to help the two lost dogs but she did and helped the lost pooches find their way back home. It was a true Christmas miracle for the family of the two dogs. Here’s an inspiring video showing Jamie’s selfless act of rescuing two lost dogs.
